A Note on the Future of NISA
The National Independent Staffing Association has been an important part of my journey, and the journey of many others in the staffing industry.
When I first entered the business, I was new, building from scratch, and learning as fast as I could. Through NISA, I found mentorship, candid conversations, and relationships that helped shape how I think about margins, operations, leadership, and long-term sustainability. More importantly, I found people who were generous with their experience and willing to help.
Those relationships, and that spirit, are what made NISA special.
After the pandemic effectively paused the organization for several years, I made a sincere effort to bring it back. While there were moments of momentum, the reality is that the industry has changed. Many longtime members retired, sold their businesses, or moved on to other communities. Despite multiple attempts, I wasn’t able to sustain the growth and consistency that an association like this deserves.
With deep reflection and respect for NISA’s legacy, I’ve made the decision to wind the organization down.
This wasn’t an easy decision. It comes from a place of stewardship, not wanting to let something meaningful slowly fade without intention or care. If someone were to step forward with the desire and capacity to rebuild NISA in the future, I would support that effort wholeheartedly.

I am deeply grateful for the friendships, mentorship, and shared experiences that came from NISA.
While this chapter is coming to a close, the relationships do not have to end.
